In another shockingly idiotic move, a Charlotte NC teacher told her 10 year old student that she couldn’t accept her homework assignment because she had chosen God as her idol and wrote about God. The girl ultimately chose Michael Jackson as her idol instead and rewrote the assignment which was acceptable to the teacher according to her own standards and rules.
There isn’t a school policy against allowing students to write about God, but apparently the teacher thought is was out of bounds for some reason. How is that reasonable to think? Is God taboo in schools? Is God controversial? Is freedom of speech a law that stops at the school classroom door? Is the teacher’s belief or opinion about God more important than the girl’s? I’m sorry, but a teacher with such poor judgment should be moved out and into another profession that doesn’t involve anyone under the age of 21.
Here’s the story: Mom Upset Daughter Wasn’t Allowed To Write About God
